Celebrity Chef Giada de Laurentiis Never Orders This Dish at a Restaurant
Giada De Laurentiis reserves eating this dish for the comfort of her own kitchen
For celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, lemon spaghetti is something she said you'll never find her ordering in the U.S.
Why? It's simple. "Because I can make it better at home," she said. "Sorry."
"I only eat it at my restaurant, or if I make it," De Laurentiis told The Messenger in an interview around the launch of her e-commerce pasta line called Giadzy.
In fact, the restaurateur said there's no point in ordering pasta of almost any kind while she's out because it's something she enjoys making — or when the cooks at her own restaurants make it.
"Lemon spaghetti or just angle hair or spaghetti with Pomodoro — no thanks."
And pasta with truffles? That's an absolute "no" for her.

She said the tubers are "just a way to charge more money" and have become so popular that they're sometimes consumed outside of their naturally occurring peak seasons.
She will, however, order a stuffed pasta like ravioli or tortellini. The chef said she understands how much time and skill those take to create, and likes to see what each chef has to offer.
