Musk Proposes 'Literal D--- Measuring Contest' with Zuckerberg - The Messenger

Twitter owner Elon Musk continued his feud with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg over the weekend, just as Meta's new Threads app was closing in on 100 million sign-ups to make it the fastest-growing consumer product in history.

“Zuck is a cuck,” Musk wrote in an initial tweet reply to a screenshot of a Threads conversation between the Meta CEO and the fast-food chain Wendy’s. In the Threads screenshot, the official Wendy’s account proposed that Zuckerberg go to space “just to really make him mad.”

“I propose a literal dick measuring contest,” he then wrote in a subsequent tweet.

His remarks come just days after the launch of Threads, a text-based conversation app and Zuckerberg’s newest social media endeavor. Threads has quickly been amassing new users as many Twitter users switch over in frustration with the platform's performance during Musk's tenure.

“I’ve always thought there would be a town square app with 1 billion+ people,” Zuckerberg posted on Threads last week. “It’s wild that after a few days it seems possible to people that Thread has a shot.”

Threads will act like a “less angry place” for conversations, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said in a Threads post

“The goal isn’t to replace Twitter,” he said. “The goal is to create a public square for communities on Instagram that never really embraced Twitter.”

But Threads is already widely viewed as a potentially major competitor to Twitter. Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince said on Twitter that its site traffic has sharply declined since the public introduction of Threads.
