Revisit Your ‘Animal Crossing’ Obsession With Lego’s Latest Nintendo Collab

Animal Crossing sets are coming to Lego, complete with minifigures for popular characters like Tom Nook and Isabelle

Nintendo’s video game mascots aren’t just on screen anymore. Thanks to Lego, fans can now recreate characters like Mario, Bowser and even the Piranha Plant, brick by brick. And just last week, Lego and Nintendo announced that pandemic hit Animal Crossing would be the next Nintendo series to get Lego sets and minifigures, and now they’ve revealed exactly how.

Animal Crossing’s latest game, which reached over 40 million players when it launched in 2020, tasked players with renovating an island getaway and visiting each other’s resorts: a perfect escape from lockdown. Today’s newly announced sets continue that island theme, featuring characters wearing tropical attire and locales with plenty of palm trees.

The sets include “Julian’s Birthday Party,” “Bunnie’s Outdoor Activities,” “Kapp’n’s Island Boat Tour,” “Isabelle’s House Visit” and “Nook’s Cranny & Rosie’s House." They’ll allow builders to act out various activities from the games, including partying with islanders, decorating houses and exploring shops. Not all fan favorite characters are included, but rest assured that even in minifigure form, Tom Nook’s watchful eye will still be there to remind you of your debt.

Unlike previous Nintendo Lego kits, the Animal Crossing sets won’t include any electronic elements: there’s no talking Mario action figure here. Prices start at $14.99 and reach up to $74.99. Predictably, Tom Nook’s set is the most expensive. Oddly enough, the tanuki tycoon is skipping the holidays: Lego's Animal Crossing sets won't be ready until March 1, 2024.
