Zach Wilson, Jets Offensive Woes Continue: ‘So Much Frustration’

The New York Jets' offensive woes continued Sunday in a 16-12 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Despite another quality defensive outing to keep them in the game, the offense stalled and quarterback Zach Wilson has thrown only one touchdown pass in the past five games.

And, in their last two games -- both losses -- the Jets have scored 18 points and 17 penalties.

"There’s so much frustration, I don’t know how to put it any other way,” Wilson said after the loss, moving the Jets to 4-5. “The hard thing is I know everyone is battling. We just have to find a way to be better out there.”

Wilson went 23-of-39 for 263 yards, one interception and no touchdowns. They couldn't convert when they needed to and settled for four Greg Zuerlein field goals in the loss to Las Vegas (5-5), and the Jets have scored just two touchdowns of their last 55 possessions.

With 1:22 to go, the Jets had a chance to win after driving all the way to the Raiders' 20-yard line. But then Raiders linebacker Robert Spillane intercepted Wilson, sealing the game.

"I have to be better there. I knew 41 [Spillane] was around, we had to beat him," Wilson said. "I thought I could get the pass in there. It hurts. We made some hard plays to get there and to throw an interception to lose a game sucks."

Wilson has connected on 59.8% of his passes this season for 1,863 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions.

On a positive note for Gang Green, quarterback Aaron Rodgers is aiming for a mid-December return after tearing his Achilles in Week 1.

Next up on the schedule is a trip to Buffalo to play the Bills (5-4) in Week 11.
