Oregon quarterback Bo Nix has quite an arm, and on Friday night, one unlucky referee was on the receiving end of it.

In the first half of the Pac-12 Championship between Oregon and Washington in Las Vegas, Nix threw towards wide receiver Troy Franklin, but the ball ended up hurtling straight towards a referee. The ref tried his best to jump out of the way; with his quick reflexes, the ball then hit him in the arm instead of square in the chest.

Fox posted the video of the collision on X (formerly known as Twitter), including an angle from a camera on the referee's hat.

Nix, a transfer from Auburn in his second year with the Ducks, is considered one of the best college quarterbacks in the country and is expected to be a Heisman finalist. Heisman ballots opened on November 27; finalists will be announced on December 4, with the winner announced on December 9.

Nix, a fifth-year senior, struggled to get things going in the game against the Huskies, going 12-19 in the first half, getting a the Ducks' first touchdown with seconds remaining in the half. Washington went into the locker room at halftime with the 20-10 lead, led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr., another Heisman frontrunner.

The Pac-12 conference championship was a rematch of the thrilling rivalry matchup earlier this season, when Washington beat Oregon 36-33 after the Ducks missed a last-second field goal in an instant classic.
