Ichiro Suzuki still has pop in his bat at age 50, as evidenced by a video from the weekend in which the former Seattle Mariners star crushed a baseball that smashed the window of a school.

Ichiro was coaching players at Asahikawa Higashi High School in Japan, when he appeared to take some batting practice. His right-field shot sailed over a protective net, broke a window and interrupted a math class, according to The Guardian.

After the baseball broke the glass, Ichiro turned to look at the players watching him, as if to say: Whoops.

Ichiro is expected to be the first Asian player inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown when eligible in 2025.

He retired in 2019 after being a 10-time All-Star, 10-time Gold Glove winner, and two-time batting champ. He had 4,367 career hits between Japan and the U.S., including 3,089 in the big leagues.

Today, Ichiro is a special assistant to the chairman for the Mariners.
