Warren Sapp spent the first nine years of his career with the Tampa Buccaneers, winning a Super Bowl, Defensive Player of the Year and earning six consecutive All-Pro nominations to earn his reputation as one of the best pass-rushing defensive tackles ever.

Sapp, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, has made a name of himself in the media since retiring, most notably with NFL Network from 2008-15. Now, he's making regular appearances on OutKick's Fearless with Jason Whitlock.

During Sapp's most recent appearance on the program, he called for the New Orleans Saints to release former Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston for defying head coach Dennis Allen during the Week 18, 48-17 win against the Atlanta Falcons.

“Dennis Allen, Jameis Winston? ‘Eat a W’ guy? No," Sapp began. "He can’t defy you. You gotta fire him on Monday."

With time running low, Allen told his team to take knee at Atlanta's one-yard line. Winston decided not to, and handed the ball to running back Jamaal Williams while in victory formation, allowing Williams to score his first touchdown of the season.

“These kids are out of their minds," Sapp said. “We know Jameis Winston has got a screw loose. …How do you make a team decision, and the head coach has given you a directive?”

New Orleans went 9-8 in Allen's second season at the helm, missing the playoffs via tiebreaker to the Green Bay Packers.

Winston joined the Saints as a backup in 2020 after throwing 30 interceptions in his final season as a Buccaneer.
