Vikings CB Byron Murphy Wants Taylor Swift to Come to Chiefs Game in Minnesota So He Can Trash Talk Travis Kelce
Swift, who is dating Kelce, has attended the Chiefs' past two games
Taylor Swift's relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is taking over the NFL's social media — and now its locker rooms.
When asked about the Swift-Kelce connection on Monday, Minnesota Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. seemed excited at the idea of Swift possibly attending the Vikings' Week 5 matchup against the Chiefs in Minneapolis on Sunday.
"Oh man, the social media is going crazy," Murphy told reporters in the Vikings' locker room, speaking on the NFL's reaction to Swift and Kelce's relationship. "And I'm not hating against it. That's the world we're living in. Is she coming to the game?
"We're locked in, but that would be something," Murphy continued. "I've been watching her since I was a kid. That would be cool, for sure."
But for Kelce? "Not for him, because we're going to try to get our hands on him in front of her," Murphy added. "I'm going to say something to him to get him going."
After three years with the Arizona Cardinals, Murphy signed a two-year contract with Minnesota in March. So far, he has recorded 19 total tackles (14 solo) in four games with the Vikings, including 10 (nine solo) in Minnesota's Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Vikings are 1-3 to start the season, third in the NFC North. The Chiefs, meanwhile, are 3-1, and have won both of the games that Swift has attended.

The NFL and its broadcasts have leaned heavily into the publicity from Swift's attendance, and it seems to have paid off: Sunday night's game between the Chiefs and the New York Jets was the highest-viewed Sunday program since the 2023 Super Bowl, with an average of 27 million viewers on NBC and Peacock.
