Tommy DeVito Leaves Giants Game vs. Saints After Hard Hit
DeVito returned to the game at the start of the third quarter after clearing concussion protocol
New York Giants rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito left Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints after being hit by New Orleans cornerback Isaac Yiadom on a six-yard run. However, he returned to the game at the start of the third quarter after clearing concussion protocol, per Fox.
DeVito wasn't hit in the head, but he was hit in the shoulder-neck area and then his head slammed against the turf.
DeVito went into the blue medical tent and then ran into the locker room with medical personnel before the end of the first half.
DeVito, who has led the Giants to three straight wins, had completed nine of 16 passes for 73 yards with 36 rushing yards before the hit. He had also taken four sacks from the Saints defense in the first half alone.
