Taylor Swift’s ‘Welcome to New York’ Featured In Chiefs-Jets Sunday Night Football Hype Video
Swift is expected to be in attendance for Sunday's game at MetLife Stadium
Pop icon Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have dominated pop culture and football headlines for the past two weeks, and the NFL has attempted to take advantage.
Sunday Night Football on NBC posted a hype video to its Twitter page on Friday as a teaser for this week's matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets at MetLife Stadium that Swift is expected to attend. The caption on the video read "Taylor Made for Sunday Night" and the background music was Swift's song "Welcome to New York."
Swift and Kelce have been rumored to be hanging out for weeks, but the suspected couple had not been seen together until Swift attended Kelce's Week 3 game at Arrowhead.
The two were seen leaving together before going to a private after party where they were spotted cuddling in photos released this week.
Since the public appearance, Swift's effect on the football world has been evident. Kelce's jersey sales are up 400%, and prominent members of the sports community including Bill Belichick, Micah Parsons, and Julius Randle have all chimed in on the matter.
