Colorado could be without starting cornerback Shilo Sanders for its game against No. 8 USC on Saturday, with the senior questionable.

Per The Denver Gazzette, Sanders had to go to the hospital as soon as the team plane landed after the team's 42-6 loss to No. 9 Oregon last Saturday.

Sanders said he injured himself making a tackle seen in a video posted by Well Off Media.

"I made a tackle and I landed on my kidney or something bro, so I got to go to the ER and get checked," Sanders said after getting off the plane back from Oregon.

Sanders is coached by his father, Deion, while his brother, Shedeur is the Buffs' starting quarterback. Deion told reporters on Tuesday that Shilo's condition was improving.

“He’s doing much better. We’re praying that he heals and he’s playing this weekend,' he said at the press conference.

"He’s a (critical) part of our secondary and our team, defensively. He plays with a certain physicality that we desire. He’s giving me daily updates, trust me. I’m praying that he can play, as a father and a coach.”

Oregon released footage on Monday of Sanders trash-talking Ducks players before kickoff of the game. Sanders had seven tackles during the game, but the Colorado defense gave up 522 total yards and six touchdowns.

Sanders has made 26 total tackles with one forced fumble and one interception so far this season for the Buffaloes. His interception came on the first play of the team's Week-3 win against Colorado State, and was returned 80 yards for a touchdown.

Colorado are already without five-star wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter who is still recovering from a lacerated liver. Despite taking on the Trojans at Folsom Field in Boulder, Sanders and Co. are 21.5 point underdogs, per Caesars Sportsbook.

USC is 4-0 on the season with the Buffaloes coming in at 3-1. The game will be broadcast on Fox with kickoff Saturday at 12 p.m. ET.
