New Orleans Saints running back put NFL chain crew official Nick Piazza on the injured list with a broken knee last Sunday when the running back ran into the official on the sideline.

Now, the Saints and Kamara have sent a care package to Piazza while he is in the hospital recovering, he told NOLA.com. The package included a signed No. 41 Alvin Kamara jersey and signed football with “Get well” wishes. Saints owner Gayle Benson even reached out via text and email and sent an order of takeout food for the family.

"I really appreciate the messages, care packages and medical treatment," Piazza told NOLA.com. "And if you see Alvin, please tell him thanks. He signed a football and jersey for me. Very nice."

Piazza's injury occurred in the second quarter during the Saints' loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Piazza and Kamara collided near the first-down marker at the Saints' 20-yard line. Kamara, who was pushed out of bounds after a run, connected with one of the official's legs.

Piazza then fell to the turf, clutching his leg and staying on the ground as medical staff attended to him. With play paused, medical staff eventually gave the official an air cast on his injured leg before loading him on the stretcher. He was carted away from the field, to applause from the crowd.
