Philly Fans Are Buying Tickets to NLCS Game 3 In Arizona to Keep Diamondbacks Fans Out of Their Own Ballpark
Tickets are going for as low as $21 dollars for tonight's game in Phoenix
It's no secret Philadelphia Phillies fans are among the most competitive in baseball. But some fans are going the extra mile to try to give their team an advantage for Game 3 of the NLCS on the road on Thursday.
Despite being over 2,000 miles away from tonight's game at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, Philly fans are still trying to make their presence known by ensuring there are a fair amount of empty seats on Thursday. Some fans are buying tickets to detract from Arizona's home field advantage, seen in a handful of viral social media posts.
Ticket prices for Game 3 are going for as low as $21 on SeatGeek with other sites like Vivid Seats and StubHub offering similar pricing. To put these prices into perspective, the cheapest ticket for Game 6, what would be the next home game at Citizens Bank Park, is standing room only going for $308 on Vivid Seats.
Philadelphia holds a 2-0 series lead and is coming off a 10-0 victory in Game 2. The next three games are in Arizona, but if the Diamondbacks can survive long enough for Game 6, there is no doubt Phillies fans will be ready.
