Phillies Owner John Middleton Acrobatically Gave Baseballs to Fans at Diamondbacks Ballpark Before Game 3 Loss
Earlier on Thursday, Philly fans launched a viral campaign to purchase tickets at the game just to keep Diamondbacks fans out
Philadelphia Phillies owner John Middleton made himself at home while visiting the Arizona Diamondbacks for Game 3 of the NLCS on Thursday.
Middleton, who is worth $3.7 billion according to Forbes, was seen stretching his body across the Phillies dugout to hand baseballs to visiting Philly fans at Chase Field in multiple videos across social media.
The 68-year-old billionaire even performed a leap from the top of the dugout railings onto the ground, landing shakily on his feet before walking away.
The footage showed a small amount of Philly fans sitting behind the team's dugout but very few Diamondbacks fans and plenty of empty seats. Earlier on Thursday, a wave of Philly fans on social media launched a viral campaign to purchase tickets at the game with no intention of going, just because the prices were lower and it would prevent Diamondbacks fans from filling the stands.
Ticket prices for Game 3 were as low as $21 on SeatGeek with other sites like Vivid Seats and StubHub offering similar pricing, spurring several social media posts by Philly fans to buy up as many seats as possible.

However, that didn't stop the Diamondbacks from coming back to win the game in walk-off fashion to when Ketel Marte hit a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning. The hit gave Arizona its first win of the series as the Phillies now lead it 2-1.
Game 4 in Phoenix is set for Friday night at 8:07 p.m. ET.
