PGA TOUR Suspends Vince India, Jake Staiano for Betting Violations
India has been suspended for six months compared to Staiano's three months, but neither player placed bets on tournaments they played in
Korn Ferry Tour members Vince India and Jake Staiano have been suspended "violating the PGA TOUR Integrity Program," the PGA TOUR announced Friday.
"Both players placed bets on PGA TOUR competitions," the PGA TOUR said in a statement. "However neither player bet on tournaments in which he was a participant."
India was suspended for six months as of Sept. 18, and the suspension will end on Mar. 17, 2024. Staiano was suspended for three months as of Sept. 11, ending Dec. 10.
India, 34, turned pro in 2011 and has two top-25 finishes in 22 Korn Ferry Tour events this year. Staiano, 26, turned pro in 2019 and joined the Korn Ferry Tour in 2022. He has one top-25 finish in eight tournaments this year.
