NFL Spokesperson Says Roger Goodell Is Not Opposed to Tush Push, Despite Previous Reports
The Philadelphia Eagles' signature play is expected to be reviewed by the Competition Committee this offseason
Despite previous reports, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is not opposed to the Philadelphia Eagles' Brotherly Shove play, according to The 33rd Team's Ari Meirov.
The Brotherly Shove, also known as the Tush Push, is a quarterback sneak that involves multiple players pushing the quarterback through the offensive line.
According to The Athletic, Goodell does not like the play. Now, Meirov says that is not true, as told to him by NFL Executive Vice President of Communications, Public Affairs and Policy Jeff Miller.
Multiple reports say the NFL Competition Committee will examine the play offseason to decide whether it has a place in the league or not.
The Eagles do not have a representative on the Competition Committee, but each of their division rivals do.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, however, says he has no problem with his arch rival's signature play.
