NFL Doesn’t Fine Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Turkey Leg Celebration: Report

During the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving win against the Washington Commanders, the team celebrated with its Salvation Army kettle and turkey legs.

In what has been the opposite of the NFL's 2023 trend, no fines were issued for the celebration.

As the Cowboys went up 37-10 late in the fourth quarter, wide receiver KaVontae Turpin jumped into the bucket and pulled out turkey legs for quarterback Dak Prescott and tight end Jake Ferguson.

Prescott would remove his helmet and take a bit of the turkey leg as he prematurely celebrated Dallas's win.

In a season that has seen the NFL issue fines for what seems like the slightest of things, no unsportsmanlike fines were issued to the Cowboys, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

When former Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot jumped into the bucket in 2018, he and Prescott were fined $13,261 for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The Cowboys have other reasons to feel good about themselves at the moment with a 9-3 record -- and they seem destined to be the first NFC Wild Card at the very least.
