NBA Summer League Schedule: Games Begin Monday Night
Ten teams, featuring countless rookies, will tip off tonight
NBA Summer League action gets underway Monday night as the California Classic and Salt Lake City Summer Leagues tip off.
Summer Leagues are where rookies and other developmental players combine in an exhibition of the NBA’s young talent. It allows draft picks to get live game action against professionals, and serves as a showcase for players trying to make their way onto training-camp rosters.
The first game of Monday evening begins at 6 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPN2 as the Los Angeles Lakers, featuring 17th overall pick Jalen Hood-Schifino, meet the Miami Heat and 18th overall pick Jaime Jaquez Jr. At 7 p.m. ET on NBATV, the Memphis Grizzlies go against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Second overall pick Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets will play the San Antonio Spurs at 8 p.m. on ESPN2. Unfortunately for fans, No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama will not be suiting up for San Antonio.
First-round picks Taylor Hendricks and Keyonte George are slated to lead the Utah Jazz against the Oklahoma City Thunder, led by 10th overall pick Cason Wallace, at 9 p.m. ET On NBATV.
Wrapping up the night, at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN, will be 19th overall pick Brandin Podziemski and the Golden State Warriors against 2023 First-Team All-Rookie forward Keegan Murray and the Sacramento Kings.
The 30-team Las Vegas Summer League begins Friday at 4:30 p.m. on NBATV.
