Best Bets: NBA Tuesday Night Player Props - The Messenger
It's time to break the news. The Messenger's slogan

It’s a light slate in the NBA Tuesday night with five games, but still opportunities to place some bets. Two games have double-digit lines. The Kings are favored by 11.5 points on the road against the Pistons, who will be without Cade Cunningham. The total is 240.5 points.

The Knicks are 4–0 since acquiring OG Anunoby and have won their last three games by 16, 26 and 17 points. They will host the Trail Blazers and are favored by 12.5 points. The Magic have been hit hard by injuries and host the Timberwolves, who are favored by 5.5 points.

The Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant the rest of the season due to a torn labrum in his shoulder. The task to get back in playoff contention will be daunting, and it starts tonight in Dallas; the Mavericks are favored by 8.5 points. The night concludes with the Lakers hosting the Raptors — L.A. has lost nine of its last 12 games. Here are the best bets for Tuesday.

Jalen Duren OVER 27.5 points+rebounds+assists (-110 BetMGM Sportsbook)
Duren is averaging 13.5 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He has at least 28 PRAs in seven of the last nine games. In one of the games he felt short the Pistons center finished with 27 PRAs, and in the other he played only 22 minutes due to foul trouble. The Pistons are 10.5-point underdogs to the Kings, who haven’t been blowing teams out and have recent losses to the Hornets and Trail Blazers. Cade Cunnigham is out due to injury and Duren could take a few more shots. The Kings have allowed 19.6 points and 15.1 rebounds per game to centers.

Immanuel Quickley OVER 26.5 points+rebounds+assists (-125 bet365 Sportsbook)
Quickley tends to go over this when he plays 30 minutes. He has played 30-plus minutes in two of his four games with the Raptors, and the point guard had 33 and 34 PRAs in those games. He had 24 PRAs in the last game, in which he was limited to 26 minutes due to a blowout, and 23 in 28 minutes in his first game with the Raptors, in which he was in foul trouble. The game should stay close against the Lakers. This is a good matchup since the L.A. struggles to defend the three-point shot — over the last 10 games, they have allowed the most three’s in the NBA. Quickley is averaging 11.6 shots from the field; 5.6 of them come from three-point range. Quickley scored 20 points against the Lakers when he was with the Knicks, in 29 minutes on December 18, but he didn’t start and has a bigger role with Toronto. Jakob Poeltl is out and the Raptors already play a short rotation, so Quickley could play more minutes.

Monday’s record: 2–0 (+1.65 units)
All-time record: 162–94 (+50.18 units)
