Missouri kicker Harrison Mevis hit a 61-yard field goal as time expired to give unranked Missouri a 30-27 win over No. 15 Kansas State. The make set a new record for the longest field goal in SEC history.

Kansas State led 24-17 going into the fourth quarter. Missouri quarterback Brady Cook led his team on back-to-back scoring drives to take a 27-24 lead, then Kansas State answered with a field goal to tie. Cook led Missouri on a 10-play 38-yard drive to burn the final 1:25 and score on the Mevis kick.

Fans stormed the field after the win.

Missouri improves to 3-0 and may have a case to sneak into the AP top-15 next week with the win. Kansas State falls to 2-1 after back-to-back blowouts against against SEMO and Troy, but drops its first game to a Power 5 opponent this season.
