Lions Defeat Vikings to Win NFC North, First Division Title Since 1993
In Dan Campbell's third season as head coach, the Lions have snapped a 30-year drought and are in play for home-field advantage
For the first time since 1993, the Detroit Lions are division champions.
With Sunday's 30-24 win at the division rival Minnesota Vikings, the Lions are the 2023 NFC North champions.
Detroit now holds an 11-4 record, and will play its first home playoff game in 30 years.
The Lions went 3-13 in 2021, Dan Campbell's first season as head coach. They followed that up with a 9-8 record last season, and are now in the mix for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Sunday's win will send the Lions to the playoffs for the first time since 2016, and just the fourth time since the turn of the century.
