Sunday night's matchup between the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles drew the largest TV audience for an NFL game this season with an average of 26.09 million viewers on FOX, The Athletic reported.

Sunday's game passes the previous high of 25.78 million viewers for the Week 2 matchup between the Jets and Dallas Cowboys on CBS.

Entering the matchup, the Eagles were the league's lone undefeated team after the San Francisco 49ers lost to the Cleveland Browns earlier in the day. New York followed Cleveland's lead as it handed Philadelphia its first loss of the season with a 20-14 home victory.

The Jets struggled offensively in the first half, scoring three field goals to Philadelphia's two touchdowns. But New York's defense took over in the second half, holding the Eagles scoreless for the remainder of the game. The Jets forced a season-high three interceptions from Eagles' quarterback Jalen Hurts, including two in the second half.

Jets running back Breece Hall scored the game-winning touchdown with just under two minutes remaining after the Jets regained possession, thanks to a Hurts interception. Philadelphia didn't respond, turning the ball over on downs with 1:16 remaining, allowing the Jets to run out the clock.

The Jets moved to 3-3 as they head into their bye week before facing the New York Giants in Week 8. The Eagles fell to 5-1 as they prepare to host the Miami Dolphins in a Week 7 Sunday Night Football matchup.
