Jalen Brunson Scores 38 to Give Knicks First Win Against Bucks This Season
Julius Randle, R.J. Barrett and Immanuel Quickly were also 20-point scorers for the Knicks against Milwaukee
Jalen Brunson had a Christmas to remember.
The New York Knicks entered Monday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks with an 0-3 record against their Eastern Conference foes this season. But with stars like 50 Cent and Fat Joe sitting courtside, Brunson and the Knicks made sure they got a win.
Brunson's game-high 38 points led the Knicks to a 129-122 win at Madison Square Garden. Brunson now is third on the Knicks' single-game Christmas scoring list behind Richie Guerin (40) and Bernard King (60).
"We've struggled against this team throughout this year and the fact that we came out with a win today, it's special," Brunson said after the game. "I like the way we had a lead no matter how much they cut the lead down. We stayed poised and figured out a way to keep it and win."
Brunson is now averaging 35.8 points against the Bucks this season, and the 17-12 Knicks hold the fifth seed in the East.
His outburst was instrumental as Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 32 points each for the Bucks.
