Hornets Announce Miles Bridges Will Return Friday
The sixth-year veteran sat out all last season after a domestic violence incident, and was suspended for the first 10 games of this season
Charlotte Hornets wing Miles Bridges will be eligible to return to the team's active roster Friday, the Hornets announced Thursday.
Bridges sat out all of last season, and was suspended for the first 10 games of this season after being placed on probation on a felony charge for injuring the mother of his child.
On Oct. 13, Bridges turned himself in to authorities for a violation of a 10-year protection order against the victim that came with his three-year probation.
“Miles Bridges is eligible to return to our active roster on Friday after serving his NBA suspension," the Hornets said in a statement.
"We are comfortable with Miles returning to play based on our current understanding of the facts of the recent allegations and remain in contact with the NBA as that matter proceeds through the court process.”
Bridges averaged 20.2 points per game for the Hornets in 2021-22 on an efficient 49.1 percent shooting.
After not having his contract renewed and missing all of last season, Bridges signed a one-year, $7.9 million deal with Charlotte this offseason.
