Duke QB Riley Leonard a Game-Time Decision Against Florida State with Ankle Injury
Duke's quarterback has been out since suffering a high ankle sprain on the final play of the Blue Devils' Sept. 30 loss to Notre Dame
Duke quarterback Riley Leonard will be a game-time decision for the Blue Devils' Saturday night game at Florida State, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Leonard hasn't played since suffering a high ankle sprain on the final play of a loss against Notre Dame on Sept. 30.
The Blue Devils have won their only game since Leonard's and are ranked No. 16 in the AP Top 25. Leonard will dress and warmup with his team, and Duke's coaching staff will decide if he plays against No. 4 Florida State.
In the three weeks since suffering the injury, Leonard has been a limited participant in practice as he goes through the rehab process. If Leonard doesn't play, Henry Belin IV is expected to start again after leading Duke a 24-3 win against NC State last week.
Belin was 4-for-12 passing with 107 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Prior to his injury, Leonard threw for 912 yards, three touchdowns and an interception on 62.7% passing.
