Damian Lillard Scores 20,000th Career Point Against the Spurs, Joins Only 51 Players in NBA History
Lillard is one of 51 players to enter the 20,000 point club, adding to his Hall of Fame résumé of seven All-NBA selections
Needing just six points entering Tuesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard became the 51st member of the NBA's 20,000-point club in the first quarter.
The next closest active player to Lillard is his teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo, who sits at 17,605.
Lillard has had a career that has pretty much guaranteed the 33-year-old a spot in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. He scored 19,375 of his career points during his 11-year tenure with the Portland Trail Blazers.
While in Portland, Lillard was the 2013 Rookie of the Year, a seven-time All-NBA selection and was named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team.
Lillard and the Bucks are off to a 19-7 start this season, good enough to be 1.5 games behind the Boston Celtics for first place in the Eastern Conference.
