Dak Prescott Says Teammates ‘Didn’t Push My Tush Enough’ on Failed QB Sneak vs. Chargers

The Dallas Cowboys' messy Monday Night Football win over the Los Angeles Chargers had a lot of chaos — whether it was the pre-game brawl or that one passionate fan.

But there were times when the football fell short, such as the Cowboys' attempted "tush push" in the second quarter on fourth-and-one.

Prescott's answer for why the play failed was simple:

"They didn't push my tush enough," Prescott told reporters.

Despite the failed play, the Cowboys went on to beat the Chargers, 20-17, after a late push and a defensive stop. Prescott threw 21-30 for 272 yards and one touchdown.

The "tush push" has become the hot topic of the NFL season. Teams have adopted the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback sneak staple into their playbooks — a fourth-and-short play that is supposedly "undefendable."

The Eagles have been highly successful with the maneuver (also nicknamed the "brotherly shove"), using the technique to push Jalen Hurts and gain a few yards.

Everyone from Robert Saleh to Jason Kelce has weighed in on whether the tush push should be allowed — enough that the NFL is planning on reviewing the play at the end of the season.

The Cowboys have a bye this week, then play the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8.
