Charles Leno Jr. Out Against Falcons After Wife Has Miscarriage
Washington has allowed a league-high 29 sacks this season and will be without its blindside blocker Sunday
Washington Commanders left tackle Charles Leno Jr. will miss Sunday's game after his wife suffered a miscarriage.
Leno's wife, Jen, announced the miscarriage on X, saying their daughter Paitynn Maui unexpectedly died.
"Thanks to everyone who has poured so much love and prayer into us throughout this journey," Jen said. "Rest easy, sweet girl."
Charles also shared the post.
Now, the Commanders, who have given up a league-high 29 sacks this season. Quarterback Sam Howell is on pace to break former Houston Texans quarterback David Carr's record of most sacks taken, which Carr set at 76 in 2002.
Washington is playing an Atlanta Falcons team that can take over first place in the NFC South with a win and a Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss to the Detroit Lions.
