Bills’ Von Miller Available to Play vs. Chiefs, Despite Assault Investigation
Miller, 34, turned himself in to police in Glenn Heights, Texas, last Thursday, after he was accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend at their Dallas residence
Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller will be available for Sunday's matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, despite an open investigation into assault allegations.
Miller, 34, turned himself in to police in Glenn Heights, Texas, last Thursday after he was accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend at their Dallas residence. He faces charges on third-degree felony assault of a pregnant woman.
Miller has played in eight games so far this season.
"We weren't there. We're not the investigators," Bills general manager Brandon Beane told reporters on Wednesday.
"We had our conversations with Von and understood what he believes happened and so, from that standpoint we can't get into it.
"It's an open investigation, and so we'll let the legal process play out, and he'll participate like normal in practice."
Beane added on Wednesday that until formal criminal charges are brought against Miller, the franchise will not place him on the commissioner's exempt list.
