Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes' postgame interaction with Buffalo Bills Josh Allen went viral after Buffalo's 20-17 win. The Bills came away with a road victory after a potential game-winning touchdown by the Chiefs was called back for offensive offsides on wide receiver Kadarius Toney.

"He reached out to me, and I was like it's football, it's a game of emotion," Allen said when asked about it on Wednesday. "I know he didn't mean anything by it."

Mahomes, who was not pleased with the call and even had to be held back by teammates on the sideline as he yelled at the refs, was heard complaining about the call during his handshake with Allen.

"Wildest f---ing call I've ever seen," Mahomes said, rather than some variation of the typical "good game."

The Chiefs' quarterback later apologized this week, saying he regretted the way he acted toward the referees and Allen.

"I know the cameras kinda caught the last few seconds of what we were talking about," Allen said about the quote caught on video. "But [Mahomes] is the ultimate competitor and that's why he is what he is."

The loss dropped the Chiefs to 8-5 and helped the Bills improve to 7-6, bringing them to just two games behind the AFC East leading Miami Dolphins.
