Atlanta Braves to Host 2025 MLB All-Star Game, First in the City Since 2000
Atlanta joins the Texas Rangers (2024) and the Philadelphia Phillies (2026) as one of the next three teams to host an All-Star Game
The 2025 MLB All-Star Game will be hosted by the Atlanta Braves, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred announced on Thursday.
“I commend Terry McGuirk, Derek Schiller, the entire Braves organization and the Atlanta Sports Council for leading this effort,” Manfred said.
“As a model of success on and off the field, the Braves deserve to host the All-Star Game. Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta will provide fans a world-class experience in 2025.
"We look forward to working with the Braves and local leaders to deliver a memorable All-Star Week that brings people together and benefits the community in many ways.”
This is the third time the Braves will host the All-Star Game. The first-ever edition of the game in 1972 was held in Atlanta, and the Braves most recently hosted in 2000.
The 2021 All-Star Game was set to take place in Atlanta, but Manfred elected to move the event to Denver in protest of a voting bill by the Georgia State legislature.
“We are thrilled that Major League Baseball has awarded the Atlanta Braves the 2025 All-Star Game,” said McGuirk, the Braves’ chairman. “Time and time again, Atlanta has proven to be a world-class destination for the most exciting entertainment and sporting events.

"I am excited that baseball fans will have the opportunity to experience Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta along with all this area has to offer. Over the coming months, we look forward to working alongside MLB to create memorable experiences that will showcase and support our community.”
This announcement fills in the gap between the 2024 and 2026 All-Star Games which have had locations set for a while.
The 2024 game, to be hosted by the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field, was announced last November while the 2026 game, to be played at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, has been set since 2019.
Atlanta was the hottest team in baseball throughout the 2023 regular season, boasting the league's best record of 104-58, just two wins shy of a franchise record. The Braves have also been a consistent postseason contender in recent years, reaching at least the NLDS every season since 2018, including a World Series Title in 2022.
“It’s exciting to see what the Braves have built and it should be celebrated,” said CC Sabathia, who serves as a special assistant to the commissioner. “They are leading the way in baseball culture, fully embracing all of Atlanta’s music and food scenes.”
