Anthony Richardson Clears Concussion Protocol, Will Start Week 4 Against Rams
The fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft returned to practice Thursday for the first time since leaving Week 2's win with a concussion
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has been cleared from concussion protocol and will start in the Colts' Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, Colts head coach Shane Steichen announced Friday.
Richardson, the fourth overall pick in April's draft, missed the Week 3 win against the Baltimore Ravens, but returned to Colts practice on Thursday, and he will retake the reigns from Gardner Minshew in Week 4.
During the Week 2 win against the Houston Texans, Richardson scored two rushing touchdowns before leaving the game with a concussion, and did not suit up in Week 3.
This season, Richardson has thrown for 279 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 63.8% completion rate . He is also averaging 5.8 yards per carry with three rushing touchdowns.
