Aaron Rodgers says Travis Kelce’s Pfizer Deal Is ‘Shilling for a Corrupt Company’, Wants Vaccine Debate
The war of words between Rodgers and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce rolls on
Aaron Rodgers continued the battle between he and Travis Kelce on Tuesday, this time during the former’s weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
“There’s lot of propaganda out there, Rodgers said. “Mr. Pfizer said he didn't think you'd be in a vax war with me. This ain't a war homie, this is just conversation. But if you want to have some sort of duel, debate have me the podcast, come on the show. Let's have a conversation. We'll do it like, like in John Wick four. So we both have a second. Somebody to help us out. I'm gonna take my man RFK Jr.
“He can have, you know, Tony Fauci or some other pharma-crat. And we can have a conversation about this.”
The Rodgers-Kelce-Pfizer discussion began during the Jets quarterback’s appearance on the show last Tuesday, when he called Kelce “Mr. Pfizer” in reference to the Chiefs tight end’s advertising deal with the Covid-19 vaccine provider.
Kelce, 34, has been part of Pfizer's Fall campaign to promote its new booster shot. Rodgers, on the other hand, has elected not to receive the Covid-19 vaccine and subsequent boosters.
Kelce responded on Friday, telling reporters that the dig “was pretty good” but mentioned that the Jets are owned by Woody Johnson, who is part of the family that founded pharmaceutical brand Johnson & Johnson, which also produced a Covid-19 vaccine.

"Mr. Pfizer versus the Johnson & Johnson family over there, man," Kelce said.
The brand even used Rodgers' jab as a marketing tactic, displaying billboards around Minneapolis -- where the Minnesota Vikings were hosting Kelce and the Chiefs this past Sunday -- showing the No. 87 jersey (Kelce's number) with the name "Mr. Pfizer" on the back.
But this battle is far from over, particularly considering that Rodgers has his weekly appearance on McAfee's show, and Kelce -- whose back-and-forth with Rodgers isn't the only thing keeping him in the news -- remains one of the most outspoken personalities in the league.
“The triggering though, was that not incredible last week? People getting absolutely triggered, Rodgers said on Tuesday. “The Johnsons have been great to me. So I don't mind that you call me Mr. Johnson and Johnson. Woody, Christopher and their families, they've been great. I don't play for the Johnson and Johnson Corporation. I play for the New York Jets.
“I made a tiny little joke about a guy shilling for [a] potentially... corrupt company, and everybody kind of loses their mind.”
