The White House on Wednesday touted investing over $14 billion in Africa since the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit in December 2022.

"As the White House commemorates the one-year anniversary of the 2022 U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, the United States remains all in on Africa," the White House said in a statement.

The administration also reported that 17 Cabinet and leaders of U.S. departments and agencies have visited 26 countries in Africa, including Vice President Kamala Harris' visit to Ghana, Tanzania and Zambia.

Over the last year, the presidential administration has also advanced major food and health security investments with more than $17 billion in U.S. assistance and launched a digital transformation initiative, an effort to expand digital access in Africa and increase commercial engagement.

As part of last year's summit, the Biden-Harris administration committed to invest $55 billion in Africa over three years. The White House also pledged to support complex political transitions in Africa and work alongside African countries to achieve shared goals for improvements in global health.
