The Fulton County judge overseeing the sweeping 2020 Georgia election racketeering case is hearing arguments Thursday from pro-Trump attorney Sidney Powell about why the charges should be dismissed before trial.
Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee's hearing was originally scheduled for 1:30 p.m. EST but got pushed back to 2 p.m. due to another ongoing matter. It comes as Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis prepares to try her case against Powell and co-defendant Kenneth Chesebro in a matter of weeks. Jury selection is scheduled to begin Oct. 20.
The hearing is expected to be livestreamed on McAfee's YouTube channel.
