Vivek Ramaswamy on Potential of Joining a 2024 Trump Administration: ‘Not a Plan B Guy’
The former president previously said Ramaswamy would likely make a 'very good' vice president
Vivek Ramaswamy did not entirely shoot down the possibility of joining a potential Donald Trump administration in a Sunday interview, but he did declare that he's not a "plan B guy."
Maria Bartiromo asked Ramaswamy, who was joined by his wife Apoorva Ramaswamy, about the possibility of him joining a Trump team in some capacity on "Sunday Morning Futures."
"I didn't get to where I am — I'm 38-years-old, I've founded multiple multi-billion-dollar companies, we're blessed with the American dream to be able to sell finance and lift this presidential campaign up,"said the 2024 GOP hopeful.
"I didn't get where I am, Apoorva [Ramaswamy] didn't get to where she is by being 'plan B people' and so I'm actually confident we’re going to over deliver massively at the Iowa caucus," he said.
Ramaswamy's campaign has been focusing much of its effort as Trump continues to hold a double-digit lead in most polling over his competitors.
Ramaswamy has been more supportive of Trump than fellow 2024 GOP hopefuls Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley and Chris Christie. He recently called on them all to join him in giving Colorado the cold shoulder over the state Supreme Court's decision to boot Trump from the ballot, a decision he's appealing.
Ramaswamy has also said he would pardon Trump if he's president. In August, Trump said Ramaswamy would make a "very good" vice president.
