Trump Thanks Murderous Crime Underboss ‘Sammy the Bull’ for Calling Him ‘Legit’

'I hope Judges Engoron & Kaplan see this. We need fairness, strength and honesty,' said ex president in what some saw as a thinly veiled threat

Donald Trump proudly shared a video Saturday of an old interview with serial hitman and one-time Gambino crime family underboss Sammy "the Bull" Gravano praising Trump as a "legitimate" guy who resisted his efforts to "press" Trump on undisclosed issues.

"Thank you to Sammy the Bull," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "I hope Judges Engoron & Kaplan see this. We need fairness, strength and honesty in our New York Courts. We don’t have it now!"

Gravano, who served as an underboss in the Gambino crime family in the 1980s, turned state's evidence and ratted on his cohorts and mob kingpin John Gotti in 1991 to cut a deal with prosecutors. He confessed to killing 19 people.

Gravano's comments contradict remarks he made in 1998, when he said: "I literally controlled Manhattan, literally. You want concrete poured in Manhattan? That was me. Tishman, Donald Trump, all these guys — they couldn't build a building without me."

Some attorneys and prosecutors characterized Trump's post elevating a mob killer as a very thinly veiled threat to judges in the cases the former president is currently facing — especially since he specifically targeted two judges in his Truth Social post.
