Donald Trump accused President Joe Biden of mimicking him and simply posing for pictures with striking auto workers ahead of his rally in Detroit.

Instead of taking part in the second GOP primary debate, Trump chose to speak to auto workers amid thousands of union workers striking.

The Messenger's Dan Merica spoke to some of those auto workers who expressed disappointment in the former president speaking at a non-union plant.

"I've risked it all to protect working class from the corrupted class," Trump said on Wednesday. "I stood up to people who hate you."

Trump accused Biden of copying him for visiting the Detroit area only a day before he did. According to Trump, the president simply "posed for photos at the picket line" and "spoke for a few seconds."

The former president blamed Biden's policies for the strike and knocked him for his brief speech among protesting workers.

"He didn't know where he was, he didn't know what he was saying," Trump said, adding later, "He doesn't know. It's not his fault. "LKet's not blame him."
