Trump Says He and ‘Nobody Else’ Can Keep Israel Safe
The comments are similar to the former president's claim that there was 'zero chance' Israel would have been attacked if he was president
Former President Donald Trump claimed that he "kept Israel safe" and that "nobody else will, nobody else can" in a social media post early Tuesday morning.
Israel was attacked by Hamas on Saturday, and more than 1,000 people have been killed with hundreds more injured and kidnapped.
Iran has been reported to have backed the Hamas effort.
The post from Trump echoes previous remarks the former president made suggesting there was "zero chance" that the attack on Israel would have occurred if he was still in the White House.
Trump also said that immigration policies from President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama were allowing "the same people that raided Israel" to come into the United States through the Southern border.
There is no evidence to back up this claim.
