Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he thinks biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy would be "very good" as vice president during an interview on a conservative talk show.

"He's a very, very, very intelligent person," Trump said of Ramaswamy in an interview with Glenn Beck. "He's got good energy, and he could be some form of something. I tell you, I think he'd be very good."

Trump also encouraged the GOP political upstart to "be a little bit careful," warning him that some of his comments are getting "out there."

Ramaswamy has previously said he would deny an offer to be Trump's running mate.

The presidential hopeful took the spotlight during last week's GOP presidential debate, praising the former president often and drawing attacks from fellow candidates. Though Trump did not attend the debate, he characterized the event as an audition for his vice presidency.
