Even after his latest indictment, Donald Trump can continue to run for president according to a report Friday.

The Washington Post spoke to New York Law School Professor Anna G. Cominsky, who told the paper: “There is not an explicit prohibition in the Constitution in respect to having a pending indictment or even being convicted.”

Trump was indicted on March 30 for his role in paying hush money to Stormy Daniels, and by another grand jury on June 8 for his handling of classified documents.

There is precedent for indicted presidential candidates. Eugene Debs ran for the office as a socialist in 1920 though he had been found guilty of sedition.
