Trump Fundraises After Court Appearance: ‘They Know I’m on the Verge of Winning’
'Let me say for the millionth time that NOTHING can break me,' said a fundraising email sent out shortly after court dismissed Monday
Former President Donald Trump on Monday began fundraising just 20 minutes after getting out of court in New York.
“Politicians, drunk with power, are weaponizing the legal system to try and completely destroy me — and, ultimately, imprison me for the rest of my life as an innocent man. And why do they want to stop me so bad?” said a donations email sent out by the Trump campaign, according to The Hill. “Because they know that I’m on the verge of winning the 2024 election in a landslide and upon taking office, will take away their power and return it to YOU, the American people. So, let me say for the millionth time that NOTHING can break me.”
Trump is on trial in Manhattan, accused of having engaged in fraudulent business practices. The judge in the case has ruled that because of this fraud, Trump's business empire must be dissolved.
Trump is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
