Sen. Ron Johnson Dubs Biden ‘Lawless President,’ Slams Him on Border

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., accused President Joe Biden of being a "lawless" leader, hitting him on his eviction moratorium to protect tenants during the COVID pandemic, and student loan breaks.

“He is a lawless president. He’s running a lawless administration," Johnson declared in an interview Sunday with John Catsimatidis on his radio show "Cats Roundtable" on WABC 770 AM.

"The Supreme Court rules on the eviction moratorium; said [in 2021] it was unconstitutional. He [keeps] it anyway. The Supreme Court rules that forgiving student loans is unconstitutional; he continues to forgive them. It’s a real problem when you have a lawless administration," Johnson complained.

The federal eviction moratorium expired in 2021 before the Supreme Court ruling.

Johnson also blamed the growing crisis at the border on the president.

U.S. Customs and Border Protections has reported "unprecedented" surges of people at the southern border over the past week, surpassing 10,000 encounters with migrants per day, to a record-breaking 13,500 people in a single day.

"It’s an unimaginable problem. This isn’t going to go away anytime soon. What are we going to do with these millions of people in this country?” asked Johnson.

Johnson suggested Biden is allowing immigrants across the border so they can vote for him and other Democrats — even though they're not citizens so can't vote.

He claimed Democrats are pushing things like mail-in voting so they can "cheat," even though there's no evidence of that.

"You know these people obviously are very grateful to President Biden and his Democratic allies," said Johnson. "They are counting on that. That's why they pushed mail-in voting .. .absentee balloting ... They want to make it easy to cheat."

He then said immigrants will "eventually" vote Democratic, presumably after — and if — they become citizens. "That's the game plan here," he insisted.

In an interview with Fox News' Laura Ingraham on the "Ingraham Angle," this week, Johnson called the situation at the border a "catastrophe" and accused Democrats of trying to use border security as "leverage" to boost aid for Ukraine and Israel.

The Senate worked overtime in the days leading to the holiday break in hopes of passing a pending supplemental aid package for Ukraine and Israel with stricter border security measures included. They were unable, however, to come to an agreement.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-KY., "hope" to take action on the border, and aid to Ukraine, and Israel in the new year.
