Ron DeSantis Campaign’s Massive Door-Knocking Operation Hits More Than 800,000 Homes in Iowa
The campaign has also visited more than one million homes in South Carolina and New Hampshire
The Never Back Down political action committee supporting Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis's White House bid has reportedly knocked on 812,000 doors at home in Iowa in their group campaign for president in 2024.
While Fight Right, another group backing DeSantis, has taken over media campaigning in Iowa, Never Back Down has been focused on the groundwork where they invited reporters to take an inside look at their efforts, according to NBC News.
“Gov. DeSantis’ opponents will stop at nothing to undermine the fact that we’ve built the largest, most advanced grassroots and political operation in the history of presidential politics,” Never Back Down spokesperson Jess Szymanski told NBC News. “Our canvassers have knocked almost 3 million doors nationwide, which far surpasses any other political operation by miles, and are building support for DeSantis home by home across Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.”
The group reportedly planned on spending $100 million to carry out their door-knocking campaign, similar to those they carried out in South Carolina where they knocked on more than 968,000 doors and in New Hampshire where they say they knocked on another 385,000.
The campaign's efforts come just as the 2024 Iowa Caucuses are quickly approaching and presidential hopefuls are looking to gather any last minute support they can from potential caucus goers.
