Louisiana Republicans won three runoff races on Saturday, garnering GOP control of the state's attorney general, secretary of state and treasurer's office.

Liz Murrill defeated trial attorney Lindsey Cheek to win the race for attorney general, meaning she will be the state's first female attorney general.

Nancy Landry was successful against Gwen Collins-Greenup in the race for secretary of state, meaning she is the first woman elected secretary of state in Louisiana.

John Fleming was elected treasurer in a race against financial advisor Dustin Granger. Fleming served as White House deputy chief of staff for planning and implementation during former President Donald Trump's time in office.

The election results mean Republicans will control every statewide office in January after Republican Jeff Landry, the state's former attorney general, was elected governor earlier this year.
