Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., requested annual reports on workplace safety at the White House along with any safety complaints, citing concerns over recent reports of President Joe Biden's dog Commander biting White House staff and Secret Service members.

“The White House has the responsibility to set an example for ensuring workplace safety and health for its employees," wrote Foxx in a letter to Biden. "Unfortunately, it has recently come to our attention that it is failing to uphold this responsibility."

There have been 11 reports of Commander biting someone at the White House. After the most recent incident, the dog was removed from the White House campus "while next steps are evaluated."

“If 10 people had accidents in a private plant, or if there had been dog bites in a private plant, I’ll guarantee you OSHA would have been down on the heads of the owners and operators of that plant,” Foxx told Politico.
