Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., has once again attacked House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and threatened his job, actually mentioning a motion to vacate for the first time.

Gaetz was asked by Seb Gorka, from the Salem News Channel, if he thought there would be a move to oust McCarthy and whether any lawmaker had the votes to do so.

"When it comes to vacating the chair, we've always maintained that that is a last resort, but I feel like it's getting late early," Gaetz said. "And, when the team isn't winning, sometimes you've gotta make changes in your approach, your personnel."

Gaetz had been attacking McCarthy on social media earlier this week, but with no clear mentions of a motion to vacate. He did, however, mention the investigations into Hunter Biden and President Joe Biden, and what he believes to be a lack of action, in both instances.

"If bank records linked to travel logs linked to changes in government policy, if all of that is insufficient to impeach Joe Biden and to showcase Hunter Biden's corruption, then why are we even looking?" Gaetz said on the interview.

The White House had previously responded to Gaetz's impeachment comments, saying "is yet again confirming that House Republicans’ evidence-free impeachment stunt is being driven by the demands of the most extreme, far-right members of Congress."
