Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., has filed a complaint against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, alleging the Willis has "an illegal conflict of interest" with her appointed prosecutor in former President Donald Trump's Georgia election interference case.

In her letter to Gov. Brian Kemp and Georgia Attorne General Christopher Carr, obtained by NBC News, Greene alleges Willis and prosecutor Nathan Wade are in a secret relationship, and that in appointing Wade to the case Willis has directed hundreds of thousands of dollars in government funds to him.

"Fani Willis may have received illegal kickbacks, including lavish domestic and international trips provided by Nathan Wade, from these misappropriated government funds," Greene charged.

Greene requested an investigation into the matter be opened.

The source for these unproven claims is a motion filed by one of Trump's co-defendants in the case, Michael Roman, whose lawyer sought to have his client's charges dismissed on the basis of the alleged relationship. Roman's attorney offered no proof of his claim, citing "sources close to both the special prosecutor and the district attorney."
