The Ohio House of Representatives made another move on Wednesday to ban transgender care in the state — overriding GOP Gov. Mike DeWine's veto on the ban.

They successfully did so with a 65-28, as reported by Reuters.

The governor vetoed the bill — which was passed earlier in December — as one of the last things he did in 2023, after visiting families of transgender minors in hospitals and getting to know their stories.

The bill bans minors from receiving transgender-affirming care and ban transgender athletes from participating in gendered sports that differ from their sex assigned at birth.

When DeWine first vetoed it last than a month ago, he was criticized by former President Donald Trump, who accused him of falling to the "Radical Left" on a social media post.
