Number of Asian-American Voters Surges 15% Since 2020 Election: Report

In terms of raw numbers, 15 million Asian Americans will be able to vote in 2024, roughly 6% of the United States voting population

The growth in the Asian-American voting-age population has outpaced all other groups in the United States, according to a new report.

"To ignore this potential voting bloc is a missed opportunity," Janelle Wong, a senior researcher at AAPI Data, told NBC News. "They are an essential group to get out in presidential swing states like Nevada."

A Pew Research Center report reviewed by NBC found that since the last presidential election, the number of Asian Americans who are eligible to vote increased by 15%.

During the same time period, the number of Hispanic voters increased by 13%, and all eligible voters grew by only 3%.

In terms of raw numbers, 15 million Asian Americans will be able to vote in 2024, roughly 6% of the United States voting population.
